Grace Youth Ministries - Summer 2010 Events

All Summer Long:

We will be offering a Discipleship course for any who want to continue to go deeper in their walk with the Lord and grow in their love for His Word. Because summer schedules are a bit crazy we will shoot to meet once a week, so if you are gone one week you won’t miss too much of what we will be talking about that week. As part of this course we will all be reading through the New Testament together. We will start Wednesday, June 30th

June Events:

12th – End of the year Party. Houghton Beach Park 4-8 pm                                                 

27th – Picnic at Kelsey Creek Park. 5:30 pm                                                                           30th – Discipleship Course begins 7pm at Luke’s house

July Events:

4th – Fourth of July Fireworks. We’ll all be gathering at the park downtown to share the Gospel and watch the firework display.                                                                                      

8th – Dominic Balli Concert. Christian reggae artist will be at Bellevue College to do a free concert for all the youth groups around the Eastside. Invite your friends and join hundreds of other youth from around this city for a great night. Concert is at 7pm.       

10th – Kickball. What’s a summer day without a ball game, hot dogs, and ice cream!  Make sure to invite your friends so we can make sure to have 2 full teams.                   

18th – Summer Camp Registration. Register by this date and get a free camp t-shirt!  2010 Summer Camp Brochure

21st – Mariners Game. There is a group of about 600 youth from various youth groups around the city going to the Mariners vs. Chicago White Sox game this night. Come enjoy a fun evening under the stadium lights with many other Christian teens who love Jesus and enjoy a good baseball game!                                                                                

18-24th – “Fun in the Son” Neighborhood Outreaches. During this week, we will be going to different neighborhoods to do a short VBS type thing for younger kids. If you would like to be a part of these fun outreach events let me know. We’ll be doing skits, working with puppets, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus!                                                     

24th – Church Hike

August Events:

9th-14th – Summer Camp at Sun Lakes!! This is our main event for the summer and you won’t want to miss it! Make sure you pick up the brochure with all the info and the medical forms you need on it. Don’t forget to register early to get a free shirt!                  

28th – Kayaking Day. We’ll be taking a group out to kayak on Lake Union and then grab some food together and have a picnic at Gas Works Park.      

September Events:    

  4th – Kick off the New School Year Event. Join us for an amazing race style event all around the Puget Sound!                                                                                                               

12th – First GYM Night of the Fall
